Modernizing a Multi-State Sports Betting Platform

Overview

At PointsBet USA, I worked on sports betting and casino web applications during a period of product modernization and expansion across U.S. markets. My responsibilities combined frontend feature development, service integrations, and work on applications originally built with AngularJS.

The Challenge

I worked on wagering interfaces that brought together interconnected workflows: selecting bets, managing a bet slip, placing multibets, authenticating, and making payments. Frontend changes needed to fit those existing interactions while accounting for asynchronous services and changing application state.

I contributed while the product continued to evolve. New functionality, localization, and market rollouts created overlapping delivery demands.

My Contributions

• Contributed to AngularJS modernization using React and TypeScript.
• Implemented and refined wagering, bet-slip, and multibet interfaces.

I focused on translating complex product requirements into understandable UI behavior while maintaining predictable interactions across related flows. Localization and service integrations added considerations beyond the individual screen being implemented.
